The Journal of Hebei University of Engineering (Natural Science Edition) (hereinafter referred to as the Journal) was launched in 1984. It is currently administrated by Hebei Education Department and sponsored by Hebei University of Engineering. Published bimonthly with six issues per year, it is a comprehensive journal of natural sciences focusing on civil engineering, electromechanical engineering, computer applications, information science, municipal engineering, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), architectural science, earth science, mining engineering, water resources and hydropower engineering, and mathematics and physics. It is distributed both domestically and internationally.

 

The Journal steadfastly adheres to the guidance of Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory, the important thought of Three Represents, the Scientific Outlook on Development, and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Upholding the principle of "Let a hundred flowers bloom and a hundred schools of thought contend," it aims to enrich academic discourse and broaden exchanges, primarily featuring research achievements in civil engineering while also covering related disciplines such as science and engineering. Rooted in our university yet extending its influence nationwide, the Journal emphasizes distinctive features to provide a theoretical platform for educators and scientific researchers in higher education institutions. It serves to advance the development of natural sciences and strengthen the construction of natural science disciplines in higher education institutions.

 

The Journal is currently a Key Magazine of China Technology (Natural Science), with 100% of its papers funded by grants, including over 40% from provincial-level or higher funded projects. It is indexed in the Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation (RCCSE), Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory, Russian Abstracts Journal (AJ, Russia), Chemical Abstracts (CA, USA), China Academic Journals Full-text Database (CD Edition), Chinese Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database (CAJCED), and Wanfang Data Full-text Database.
